American Sterling University is provisionally certified to operate by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV). Classes will commence only after securing full certification by the State Council of Higher Education in Virginia.
Accreditation in the United States of America is voluntary and enables institutions to qualify for Title IV grants. It also helps institutions maintain quality standards. ASU intends to acquire its accreditation from the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC), a national accrediting body specialized in distance education and approved by the Department of Education - USA. The DEAC starts the process of accrediting educational institutions when their first batch graduates. This institution is ready to ensure that it initiates seeking accreditation before its first batch graduates.
